[30Days: day 1]
A couple of Sundays ago, my pastor challenged us to be thankful.
Not just thankful, but intentionally writing down three things that we’re thankful for and describing one in detail.
So… I want to try blogging for 30 days straight, short posts on being thankful for little things in life. Join me!
DAY 1: Wednesday, October 28, 2015
- Blue bright skies. This time of year is rather dark and gloomy in Kyiv, with gray clouds hanging low and pressing on my mood. Therefore, every time I get to see the actual blue skies, I physically feel better. Go figure… But I am really thankful for colorful heavens.
- The Bible study group. I am thankful for the Wednesday groups our friends are doing. I love our meetings and the “meatiness” of the conversation. We dig deep and every time after the group, I am amazed at God’s love and providence. It is one of the most encouraging study groups that I’ve been to and I really value that we can be honest with each other there without fear of being laughed at for sharing our deepest concerns and worries.
- Hot water. It’s cold now and there are times when the only thing that seems to warm me up is a hot shower. And since we have installed a water heater last year, I have been enjoying this little (but, oh so important for me) pleasure.
What are you thankful for today?
