[this is the way you should go]

[this is the way you should go]

I remember quite a few times when I would find myself in a place unknown to me and I’d pray “God, lead me.”

We’ve got quite a few complex underground walkways in Kyiv and usually lack proper signs that show you which way you should go. So once you get out of the metro, for example, unless you have been to the place so many times you have the map memorized, you’re lost.

There are a few ways out of this dilemma. You can ask older people who usually sell something in those passageways, you can climb the nearest staircase and see where you are and where you need to be from the ground level, or, in my case, I usually prayed for guidance.

Some might attribute my ability to find the necessary path to sheer luck or good orientation in space. I might have a better sense of location than others, but I believe that it was the prayer (and, ultimately, God) that helped me utilize my abilities correctly.

In life, we face many decisions and I thank God for His guidance.

I have never seen this verse (or I don’t remember reading it before), but when I read it this morning, it struck a chord.

Right behind you, a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.

Isaiah 30:21

I pray for God’s guidance for this week, making right (and, who knows, possibly even a few left) choices.

God bless you!

  • Good words sis! I read from Pr.21 today. Verse 2 is one of the ones which jumped out at me. (As did verse 31).

    • Good verse, too. An important one to remember.

And re: 31 – I like how the Message writes it “Do your best, prepare for the worst—then trust God to bring victory.” 🙂 Good plan.
