FALL.

I immediately thought of an old song by DC Talk, one of my favorite bands when I was growing up.

What if I stumble, what if I fall?

Recently I had quite a lot of time for self-evaluation. Nothing special, just way too much free time to think and roam through my mind.

Everyone usually thought I was a good girl. From a good family, good upbringing, mom’s a pastor… I cannot say I was a bad girl per se, but because everyone expected me to be next to perfect (because they saw the outside me mostly, not the one who I was on the inside), I tried to uphold that image.

Yet, knowing myself, I knew that I am so far from perfect. I still am far from perfect. But there are a lot of friends who look up to me for various reasons and sometimes I wonder, “What if I stumble, what if I fall… Will I accidentally destroy someone else’s faith? What to do afterwards?”

Yet God’s grace is there for me and He helps to get up.

I feel ya, sister… I am SO thankful that God’s grace catches me when I fall short– because let’s be honest, it happens like every 30 seconds. Thanks so much for sharing these words of truth– so glad I stopped by from FMF. Bless you, Zee! 🙂

    • 🙂 Thanks for stopping by, Sharita!

I am so thankful that I am not required to struggle on my own but instead He’s there watching over me all the time.
