[the ways God works]

[the ways God works]

My brain is positively overloaded.

Saying good-bye to dear friends,
Saying hello to new people at work.

Feeling tired from lack of sleep,
Yet energized after a workout at the gym.

Feeling sad because life is back to usual routine,
Yet feeling happy because I now have more great memories to hold on to.

David said, ”ย I remember the days of old.
I ponder all your great worksย and think about what you have done.”

God has worked in my life in these past three weeks.
He has worked in my life before as well,
But I have been intent on actually learning
From the lessons He wanted to teach me.

“Those who have ears,” said Jesus, “LISTEN.”

On one hand, it seems like Jesus was Capt. Obvious.
But how many times do we simply let His words
Get into one ear and exit from another one?

Just like that… “Puff…”
And the lesson is wasted.
The pain or joy of the lesson is wasted.

I want to be the one who listens.
Who LISTENS, not just hears His voice.
Who LISTENS and obeys.

God be praised.

On a completely unrelated note… here’s the latest picture of me, just for the fun of it ๐Ÿ™‚ (Yes, like I stated in the beginning, my brain is overloaded.)

  • Love the cap obvious. But you are so right. Sometimes we need to stop and think about it. Love the hair BTW

    • The Capt. Obvious allegory came to my mind quite unexpectedly the day before. I was thinking of the phrase "Those who have ears" and suddenly I was tempted to say, "Thanks, Capt. Obvious" ๐Ÿ˜€

Thanks – this is the shortest ever for me, but it's fun to play with ๐Ÿ˜€ (And all I need for a Mohawk is water these days…)

  • Like this whole post lil sis. Love the juxtaposition you find yourself in and the way you have analyzed it. Keep LISTENING. As for the pic: it will take me some getting used to but I will call some of my Indian friends to get their opinion about the "hawk." ๐Ÿ™‚
    My recent post Conspicuous

    • Thanks, big bro – and welcome back into the Blogland! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hehe, don't worry – I don't sport the 'Hawk all the time (even though I am tempted to make it at work…). Usually my hair is more business-like looking ๐Ÿ˜€
