[pastor’s advice]

[pastor’s advice]

Be as cunning as a snake, inoffensive as a dove.

Matthew 10:16, MSG

*Sigh* That was my pastor’s advice when I asked for prayers for tomorrow (Monday, work, war)…

It’s gonna be tough, I think. Or maybe over the weekend the gal understood that we were not against her… The reason for myย wariness is that on Friday she attacked my admin manager and a friend. While I was already okay with her attacking me (fine, she’s of higher rank than me, and older – whatever), but when she aimed her anger and frustration at my friends, a mama-bear instinct ignited in me. I do not let anyone hurt those I care about.

And… that “inoffensive” or “humble” (as other Bible translations render it) part is hard. I don’t want to be inoffensive. She hurt my friend! Yet I know that my pastor (and Jesus, of course) is right. Wisdom and humility – two things I will really need tomorrow… and not just tomorrow.

Praying for y’all guys. If there’s any specific prayer request I can pray for, you can either leave a comment / send a direct message @zenichka on Twitter / or write me an e-mail ๐Ÿ™‚

And just in case I don’t say this enough – you all are a HUMONGOUS blessing to me and I am so thankful for this online community, this little piece of Christian family. You guys rock!!!

And our God rules.

  • You will wake up and go to work tomorrow knowing that I have prayed specifically for you and this work situation.

    • thanks Bill ๐Ÿ™‚

      • So…my friend. How are things going today?

        • you know… we talked normally and seems like she's calmed down… so, praise God and thanks for prayers ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Know that you will be prayed for here as well.

Zena, remember she is probably operating in a fear or people base. She does not know what she is doing. Pray for her, and we will pray grace for you. You operate in faith, love, miracles, hope, and mercy. Blessings and we will pray, love you.

    • Not probably, I am almost sure of it… but, so far so good ๐Ÿ™‚ thanks for prayers ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • You've been given the gift of a difficult situation. I know it may not seem like a gift right now, but if you let God do His work in you, you will look back and see it was truly a gift.

I speak from experience. As youth and music minister many years ago, there was a lady who was my "thorn". It was excruciating. I kicked and screamed at God to remove it. He never did.

I am a stronger follower of Christ today because of that season. I am friends with the lady. God did His work.

    I will pray for you.

    • thanks for support, Scott. in my life there were many times like this which i can look back to and think "i've learned a lot"… and i don't want to give up, i want to have a normal relationship…

and actually, praise God, we were able to talk absolutely normally and without any fights. God is faithful. we still don't see eye to eye, but hey, it's better than fighting! ๐Ÿ˜€
