[short note: back to work]

Immersed myself back into work today.

Love it and hate it πŸ™‚

Love it because it feels freakin’ amazing to get back to the office and hang out with gals and guys, doing what I love to do.

Hate it because we’re still up to our ears in technical problems. On the other hand, we’re getting quite creative as to how to send 10,000 e-mails.

Ah. I love my work.

  • let me be the first in your blogging world to welcome you back to the land of the living. πŸ™‚ Hope you eventually get the IT problems fixed. How in the world do you send 10,000 emails out?

    • thanks, Bill πŸ˜€ it feels good to be back in the midst of the action.

wayell, there are actually lots of ways how you can send those bulk e-mails (usually i do that few times a day… which earned me a teasing nickname "Spam Queen" which my boss came up with :D)… we used to have our own database that had a "Sender".. now we're using Microsoft CRM. today we used standard Outlook to do that since CRM is in a pouty mood.

  • 1. Glad you are back.
    2. 10,000 emails is amazing.

    • 1. Thanks πŸ˜€ I am glad too
      2. That's at least. Usually I send about 40,000 e-mails per day… sometimes more.

      • 40,000?? Why? LOL

        • well, that's what i do πŸ™‚ i am an e-publications / web-content coordinator for the AmCham here. our database of Chamber member employees is about 15,000 people. every day we have a few e-mails that we send to everyone: interfax morning news, events reminders or announcements, policy flashes, etc.

hence the nickname "spam queen" πŸ˜€

  • My husband works in IT. He says he can't even take a lunch break because there is always so much to do! I feel for ya. Hang in there….God's mercies are new every morning.

    • Ouch… that's one job that i don't want… even though i sort of been an IT gal by extension (we currently don't have an IT guy, so since i know all this stuff anyway, i was the one trying to fix the problems – THANK GOD, we have hired an IT manager who will be here in a week… YAY! no more non-working e-mails for me :D)

Amen to God's mercies πŸ™‚ Thanks, Michelle.

  • If anyone has the "grit" to get it done, it would be you.
